DISK CENTRIFUGE SEPARATOR

In many fields where separation is an essential and important part of the process, disc centrifuges can meet your more specific separation processes and maximise process efficiency.

Disc centrifuges specialise in two-phase separation and three-phase separation. Two-phase separation is the separation of solids in suspension from a liquid or the separation of two liquids with different specific gravities that are not mutually soluble; three-phase separation is the simultaneous separation of two immiscible liquids and one solid phase, respectively.

Disk Centrifuge Separator-

Suitable for the following usage scenarios

● biomass collection
● Separation of Lithium Chloride solution etc.
● Separation of extracts (penicillium, vitamins, Escherichia coli. Antibiotics, hormones, etc.).
● purification and treatment of dairy & beverage.
● emulsification of several liquids by rapid mixing.
● fractionation of plasma protein, human and animal blood.
● concentration of viruses and bacteria.

Working principle

The material to be separated is fed into the core of the machine, i.e. the inside of the drum. Under the action of strong centrifugal force, the material (mixed liquid) passes through the interval of a group of disc bundles, with the neutral hole of the disc as the interface, the liquid with higher specific gravity (heavy phase) moves along the disc to the outside of the neutral hole, where the heavy slag accumulates in the slag area and the heavy phase flows to the large centripetal pump.
The liquid with a lower specific gravity (light phase) moves inwards and upwards along the disc wall and collects at the small centripetal pump. The light and heavy phases are output by the small centripetal pump and the large centripetal pump respectively.
