The WS61 high speed centrifuge is a continuous centrifuge designed for the rapid and efficient separation of biological and pharmaceutical mixtures on a pilot scale.
High speed tubular centrifuges are mainly used to separate smallest particles from fermenter suspensions.
WS61 flow centrifuges are characterized by the ability to process a volume many times higher than the volume of the rotor. Choosing the right centrifuge for a given application depends on the volume of the substance being processed and its properties.
The components of the suspension are stratified in the rotor according to their density. Heavy liquid forms outer ring and light liquid forms inner ring. While the liquid is continuously discharged via the discharge trays,the little solid is settled on the wall of the bowl and is harvested manually after the machine stops.
